This is a great honor for our little library! LPL is so valuable to our community and this award will help purchase one of two AWE Early Literacy Stations.
Congratulations to all the staff and volunteers who are dedicated to serving this great community.

Also we need to congratulate the Pioneer Library System who also won an award which will go towards enhancing the OWWL sytem!

My Dad grew up on Washington Street and played on the cannon alot! My Aunt Pam is the Children’s Coordinator there.

In elementary school I had a wonderful Librarian. Who would read to us. My favorite story is still Charoltte”s Web.
Later on, when I had my own children, I took them to the Public Library severl times a week . They have been borrowing books since they were toddlers. They still love books, and they are excellant writters too. Books take you places, you can go where ever you want to go, or be whom ever you want to be. You will never be bored if you have a good book to read. In the future they will share thier love of books with their children.
We are truly blessed to be able to go to our Public Library and enjoy everything it has to offer.

I walked down to the library at least once a week and checked out as many books as my little arms could carry back up the hill to our house. I have fond memories of playing on the cannon and am glad to see it is still there. I live in Colorado now, but if I’m ever back in Livonia, I’ll be sure to stop in at the library.
