LIBRARY RULES
To insure a safe and appropriate environment for the conduct of library business by both library users and staff, the following rules governing use of the library and its facilities are established by the Livonia Public Library Board of Trustees, under authority granted by New York State Education Law, and shall be enforced:
No Abusive, Obscene or Threatening , or Annoying Language and/or Behavior
No Alcohol, or Illegal Drugs
No Animals, Except Those Assisting Disabled Persons
No Uncovered Upper Torso or Bare Feet
No Offensive Personal Hygiene Which Will Constitute a Nuisance to Others
No Activity Unrelated to Use of a Public Library While in Building
No Exhibitionism, Voyeurism or Lewd Behavior
No Feet on Furniture or Walls
No Food or Beverages
No Gambling
No Noise Disturbing to Others
No Sexual Harassment
No Sleeping
No Smoking
No Soliciting or Panhandling
No Damage or Theft of Library and/or Patron Property
No Weapons
Failure to observe the rules governing use of the library and its facilities will result in expulsion from the library of the individual involved. Said individual may be denied access to the library for a period of time to be determined under the guidelines established by the Board of Trustees. Where applicable, charges under civil and criminal law will be filed.
