Welcome!

Nancy Pigno is thrilled to step into the role of Children and Family Services Coordinator at the Livonia Public Library. Her work will be informed by her extensive teaching experience, which includes pre-K classrooms, college and everything in between. She brings to the position 20 plus years experience as an elementary school teacher, early childhood educator, teaching artist, and arts-integration specialist. Her background includes a master’s degree in dance education and teaching certificates in dance as well as pre-K, kindergarten, and elementary education. One of her favorite things is to bring children’s books to life through creative movement and creative drama activities so get ready to literally leap into literature during storytime! For fun, she enjoys writing children’s poetry and making whimsical drawings of cats.
